As the Coronavirus pandemic continues to grip economies across the globe, some companies have moved to freeze hiring until the economic impact of the virus is made clear. Despite this trend, ReachMobi is not slowing down.
In fact, we are projected to hire 50 new employees this year! We’re committed to building a sustainable company that will grow for decades to come. Who would have thought even three weeks ago that we would all be where we are now, with borders closed, city centers in lockdown, and many people facing uncertainty over their jobs and businesses? Things are changing by the minute, and how long the situation will continue, we don’t know.
This marks a new era for interviewers and interviewees. We are continuing to actively recruit and have moved to online job interviews for the duration of the outbreak using video conferencing apps, including Zoom and Slack to maintain the rapid growth of our business during this global crisis.
Remote Work
As a technology company, it is easier for us than for some others to operate in a completely remote work environment during a pandemic like Coronavirus. We believe that rolling out a mandatory work-from-home policy was the right thing to do; the safety and health of our employees was the driving factor in all the decisions we made about COVID-19.
Times like this, when we see everyone pulling together to find ways to stay productive and support each other, remind us of the larger picture; of how closely connected we are, of how much we rely on each other, and how the success of the larger collective depends on the work of many.
Virtual Work Perks
We are proud to offer some enticing perks and are continuing to provide these same perks for our team – virtually, that is. Under normal circumstances, ReachMobi would’ve rounded up our team and taken them out for morale-boosting drinks. Nevertheless, we’ve organized several creative initiatives by hosting engaging events for our team during COVID-19. Virtual happy hour anyone?
We are big believers in the power of face-to-face interactions, and we don’t want people to become disconnected during this time. Normally, we host team lunches bi-weekly on Monday’s and Wednesday’s, so we’re continuing to virtually provide this for our team via Uber Eats in effort to continue to demonstrate our appreciation for our team’s hard work.
At ReachMobi, we do things a little differently. Our team operates on an extremely ambitious level. But we recognize that ambition without balance isn’t sustainable.
